Chapter #1
Chapter 1: This in remembrance of me

This in remembrance of me

Schopenhauer cried 'Ah, my God!' on his deathbed—in suffering, philosophy without God is insufficient. But the God remembered in suffering is bogus, a projection. The true God reveals in celebration, not suffering. Remembering Him while happy is supernatural.

Chapter #2
Chapter 2: Between Adam and Jesus

Between Adam and Jesus

God's very goodness tempts you—saying 'yes' dissolves the ego, saying 'no' creates it. Adam is 'no,' Jesus is 'yes.' Evil creates the 'I'; good flows through you. Mourning arises from postponed love; if you love here-now, death takes nothing.

Chapter #3
Chapter 3: As I Have Loved You

As I Have Loved You

Religion is paradoxical—opposites meet and lose their oppositeness. Jesus washes disciples' feet: the master serves. 'Love one another as I have loved you.' The logical mind finds religion hopeless. Madness itself is the method. Judas leaves; Jesus is glorified.

Chapter #4
Chapter 4: All Who Hear It Lose Themselves

All Who Hear It Lose Themselves

Lao Tzu has no path—the no-path is his path. 'Follow no path—all paths lead where truth is: here.' Will and surrender are illusory paths ending where Lao Tzu begins. The egoless one transcends all types—pure existence.

Chapter #5
Chapter 5: He Is At Hand

He Is At Hand

Gethsemane: Jesus prays 'Not as I will, but as thou wilt.' T.S. Eliot's hollow men—stuffed with straw, empty of consciousness. Two emptinesses: negative (ignorance) and positive (meditation). Woodrow Wilson wept on becoming President: power is powerless against death.

Chapter #6
Chapter 6: Happiness is that which Happens

Happiness is that which Happens

The mind swings like a pendulum between polarities. Just be in between: choiceless awareness. Don't choose; be a watcher. Choicelessness is freedom. Love creates fear because love is the death of the ego.

Chapter #7
Chapter 7: The Ego is the Judas

The Ego is the Judas

Priests and politicians are entertainers, not sincere about religion. The audience seeks entertainment, not enlightenment. Jesus troubled the professionals. Judas betrays with a kiss; the ego is the Judas within. Before Pilate, Jesus answered nothing.

Chapter #8
Chapter 8: The whole Sky belongs to You

The whole Sky belongs to You

You suffer from an ego that doesn't exist—like suffering in a nightmare. When reality meets unreality, the unreal suffers. The ego makes itself the center of the universe. Drop the ego and the whole sky belongs to you.

Chapter #9
Chapter 9: Eli, Eli, Lamasabachthani

Eli, Eli, Lamasabachthani

'My God, why hast thou forsaken me?' The mind is old, stuck like a gramophone record—it killed Socrates, crucified Jesus. If he returns, Christians would kill him. Jews killed him out of fear: he brought the unknown, adventure.

Chapter #10
Chapter 10: I am the See You are Seeking

I am the See You are Seeking

You can help others only after you've disappeared. Helping with ego creates a pious, religious ego. I teach selfishness: serve yourself—your very being helps others. 'India' is an inner space, not a country. Real attainment is never lost.

Chapter #11
Chapter 11: Behold my Hands and my Feet

Behold my Hands and my Feet

Truth cannot be said—the moment you utter it, it's falsified. Jesus brings news of the beyond but is misunderstood; nobody is at fault. The resurrected Jesus shows his hands and feet: a spirit has not flesh and bones.
