The master thief sound
Hari Om Tat Sat: the divine sound—that is the truth. Om is heard when mind is completely silent, beyond all language. It's not man-made but existence's heartbeat. The symbol Om belongs to no language—Buddhists, Hindus, Jainas all use it. 'Hari' as name of God is dropped—God brings lies. The master thief sound: truth steals into you when you're silent. You recognize truth because you ARE truth, even before realizing it.
Nobody is at home
Your girlfriend says you're boring—every man becomes boring through repetition. Vatsyayana's Kamasutras: 84 postures to prevent boredom. Nobody is at home: the man is finished in two minutes, the woman hasn't started. Women are told not to enjoy—ladies lie dead, prostitutes move. Love has become a stupid mechanical gymnastic. Dependency and victimhood come from not being yourself. Creative energy comes from totality, not from guilt.
In the search is the ego
In the search is the ego. Saying 'everyone is enlightened' freaked you out—mind can live only in movement, in searching. The goal keeps you going like the horizon—always receding. Mind doesn't want to arrive; stopping feels like death because personality dies when mind stops. Poor people don't seek enlightenment—only the rich who've fulfilled bodily needs. You're at ease searching because the ego survives in the search. Enlightenment is a full stop.
Fear is to be understood, not conquered
Fear is to be understood, not conquered. Conquering fear accepts its existence—fear is a shadow, you can fight but never win. Death cannot be seen with eyes—what you see is someone changing houses. Consciousness is eternal; death doesn't exist. Fear arises from ignorance, not from something real. Experience death in meditation and fear withers like darkness in light. Death is sweet when understood—only the body dies, not you.
This earth is more than a paradise
This earth is more than a paradise. Global crisis is inevitable—masses are creations of the past and will be drowned. Only a few deeply rooted in consciousness will survive. It's too late to prevent destruction—ecology destroyed, ancient trees cut for newspapers. Everything is interwoven: trees and man, birds and sun. Interdependence is the reality. What's happening here is not work but a playful relationship with existence. Those who survive will begin new humanity with the freshness of a child.
Guilt is inverted revenge
Homosexuality is called perversion because there's no biological program for it—it arose from monasteries and segregated schools. The pill is the greatest revolution in history. Religions arranged marriage after sexual peak (16-18) to ensure declining energy and no orgasmic experience. Guilt is inverted revenge—self-punishment for natural feelings. The questioner feels hurt but his love goes naturally to men. Total acceptance means no condemnation; being not condemned is not the same as being totally accepted.
Your master is your whole universe
Your master is your whole universe. Lee Lozowick is neither strict nor enlightened—a teacher, not a master. A master is a fire you go through; a teacher has doctrines. Lozowick betrayed his own teacher, Da Free John (also not a master). America is full of frauds who exploit people in psychological crisis. The unconscious is connected to the cosmos—ripples of the future reach everyone. A real master has no teachings, only presence. Six years wasted with a fraud.
No one is insignificant
No one is insignificant. Destruction is low power (from hate); creation is high power (from love). A single individual full of love can prevent global crisis. The Sodom and Gomorrah story: the Hassid version where even God couldn't destroy the cities because of one righteous man. Love growing to its height may prevent catastrophe. Everyone has a heart, love, consciousness—everyone can reach the ultimate peak. Don't feel helpless—your consciousness matters.
A god is a despot
A god is a despot. Existence is that which is; God is that which is not. Existence is reality; God is fiction. There is one existence but thousands of gods—each created according to need. God is consolation for sick minds, not a cure. Existence is available to meditators; God to retarded consciousness. I teach existence, not God. Be in tune with that which surrounds you, within and without. No death for the one in tune with existence. A god is a despot; existence is freedom.
The greatest art of being silent
The madman never realizes he's mad; the stupid never realize they're stupid. To realize your stupidity is the beginning of intelligence. Socrates: young, he knew all; mature, he knew little; dying, he knew nothing. The greatest art of being silent: silence is not stupidity but the highest intelligence. Feeling stupid and helpless means you're becoming sensitive. Understanding is not intellectual—enjoying every word is enough. There is no way out of feeling stupid except to accept it.
Go dancing in
Why don't you answer my questions? Answering one question answers hundreds—your name need not be mentioned. The person whose question is answered understands least because they become tense. Go dancing in: don't be serious about your question, dance into it. The ego wants 'my question' answered—that's ego-satisfaction, not understanding. Questions are selected for their relevance to many, not for the questioner. If you listen silently, your question is already answered somewhere.
Every joke has a great reason
Every joke has a great reason. Man is so repressed that jokes are catharsis—they take a sudden unexpected turn, exploding inhibitions. Jokes are revenge by the powerless against the powerful. The joke catches you unawares—suddenly you're like a child, mind stops, time stops. Laughter is the moment when mind stops and you're overwhelmed by delight. Jokes are not irrational—they're more rational than philosophy. They prepare you for the ultimate laughter of enlightenment.
Ride on the wave of joy
Ride on the wave of joy. People pray only when miserable—religions exploit suffering. Bertrand Russell: if we destroy poverty and sickness, religions will die. Religions need misery for survival. You meditate only when down because you associate meditation with medicine. But meditation is not medicine—it's celebration. Ride on the wave of joy: meditate when happy, not just when confused. Joyful meditation goes deeper than miserable meditation. The priest wants you suffering; the master wants you celebrating.
Was god thinking of a circus
Was God thinking of a circus? Exposing oneself is fundamental—you've been told you're unworthy as you are. From birth, the mother decides what the child should see first. Education starts as control. Exposure feels scary because your masks are being removed. But exposure is liberation: when you're seen as you are and accepted, the false dies. God thinking of a circus: existence is not serious—it's playful, celebratory. Expose yourself to love and the heart opens.
Everybody is unique, not equal
Everybody is unique, not equal. The questioner feels 'everybody is equal'—but that's the ego's latest trick. Authority and love don't go together: love knows no authority. Feeling 'special' is ego from the back door. Equality is a concept; uniqueness is reality. The rose doesn't compare itself to the lotus. When love grows, it doesn't make you authoritative—it makes you humble. Gifts that 'just happen' are not ego's achievements. Watch the mind's games: authority, specialness, equality—all ego disguises.
No master can betray love
No master can betray love. The West knows saints and followers—saints demand surrender and faith, erasing individuality. The East created the master-disciple relationship: not teacher and student, but fire and transformation. The master doesn't demand faith—he provokes inquiry. No master can betray love because the master has no ego to betray. Freedom and the master are not contradictory—the master IS freedom. The Western saint demands obedience; the Eastern master gives wings. Jesus was a follower; Buddha was a rebel.
Buddhas are trying to be buddhas
Buddhas are trying to be buddhas. The first thing after enlightenment is laughter—laughing at the absurdity of seeking what you already are. You can seek the other but not yourself. When told 'you look like buddhas when you laugh,' a deep let-go happened—crying and fragility follow. Crying is the old self dissolving. Fear comes because the known is slipping away. Buddhas are trying to be buddhas: the seeker is the sought. The laughter is at the cosmic joke of seeking.
A gathering of friends
A gathering of friends. In Bombay, physical closeness destroyed deeper intimacy—people took it for granted. Now in Buddha Hall, thousands move around but intimacy is deeper. The master is not a public figure—he's intimately personal to each. Political talks were necessary then; now the juice and smile return. The commune is not a crowd but a gathering of friends. Physical distance can create spiritual intimacy. The master becomes more juicy when the commune is ready for intimacy.
Truth is nobody's monopoly
Truth is nobody's monopoly. Zen was born in Mahakashyapa's absurd laughter at Buddha holding a flower. Buddha transmitted Zen not through words but through silence. Aikido's principle of connecting with earth's gravity and the navel point: the navel is the body's center, connected to the source. No contradiction between elevation and grounding—they're complementary. Truth is nobody's monopoly: Buddha didn't own it, Mahakashyapa didn't own it. Zen passed from Buddha to Mahakashyapa through a flower and a laugh.
Religion can only be aesthetic
Religion can only be aesthetic. All religions have been unaesthetic—denying life, beauty, creativity. They killed the possibility of enlightenment through art. Can a musician become enlightened just through music? Yes. Aesthetics of consciousness: beauty, sensitivity, creativity are doors to the divine. Religion that is not aesthetic is not religion. The musician, the painter, the poet can reach enlightenment through their art. Religion is not renunciation but aesthetic celebration. Enlightenment through beauty, not through torture.
Logic is not the way to life
Logic is not the way to life. Logic interprets complementaries as contradictions—day and night, life and death are not opposed but complementary. I am irrelevant as existence—you find me totally relevant. No contradiction: existence is irrelevant (doesn't fulfill your expectations) yet totally essential. Logic sees contradiction; life sees complementarity. The logical mind splits; the living mind unites. Logic is not the way to life—life transcends logic. Contradiction exists only in the mind, never in existence.
Here everyone is the best
Here everyone is the best. The questioner felt punched when another was praised 'our best bodyworker.' Need for praise and fear of rejection were hit. In this commune, everyone is the best—there is no other category. Comparison is of the worldly mind. The lifeguard smiles and tells a joke instead of rescuing—because drowning is in the mind, not the water. How deep is the water? Not deep at all—you're standing in it. Praise and rejection are ego games; here, everyone is the best.
A woman is more poetic
A woman is more poetic. Without women there would be no enlightenment—women make men enlightened and have no time for themselves. Buddha's birth story and the prediction. Woman's contribution to enlightenment is immense but unrecognized. Woman is more poetic, more intuitive, closer to nature. Man is more logical, more aggressive. The new man will have both: logic and poetry, aggression and receptivity. Women don't become enlightened because they're busy making men enlightened—their sacrifice is great. A woman is more poetic.
A complete holiday for your whole life
A complete holiday for your whole life. Super-computers and genetic engineering will happen—Osho supports it. The human mind is itself a biocomputer; a better one can be implanted. Computers taking over human intelligence is good: it frees consciousness from mechanical work. The fear of super-brains is unfounded—conditioning is in the human mind, not in machines. A computer without conditioning is better than a human with conditioning. The complete holiday: when intelligence is handled by machines, humans are free for consciousness, celebration, meditation.
Zen: a contagious blissfulness
Zen: a contagious blissfulness. Count Durkheim warned against Osho, comparing him to Gurdjieff—that was the moment of recognition. Durkheim had Zen knowledge but not Zen experience—he heard words but not silences. His Zen is a paper boat: looks like a boat but don't use it. Zen is contagious—caught through presence, not through books. Durkheim introduced Zen to Europe but missed the essential: Zen is not information but transformation. Gurdjieff was dangerous; I am more dangerous—I destroy all fictions.
The first religious people in this world
The first religious people in this world. The 'dark night of the soul' is life-negation created by religions. Every religion teaches attitudes leading to darkness, despair, guilt. Bertrand Russell: if people become happy, religions disappear. The dark night is out of date—Osho's people are the first religious people: life-affirmative, joyful, celebrating. Relaxing into joy of being alive IS the search—not misery, not self-torture. The dark night belongs to the old religions; the new religiousness is light, joy, contentment. We are the first religious people in this world.
The vertical line opens a door to eternity
The vertical line opens a door to eternity. Time is horizontal (A to B to C); eternity is vertical (A to more A to still more A). The moment is rare when eternity penetrates time—it happens when meditation matures. The horizontal is the world of becoming; the vertical is the world of being. The vertical line opens a door to eternity: not going forward but going upward. Time is the mind; eternity is no-mind. When meditation reaches its peak, time stops and eternity penetrates.
Vipassana comes in the end
Vipassana comes in the end. Goenka's vipassana caused pain, suffering, doubt—Buddha's meditation without Buddha's context becomes torture. The German poet Heine who saw bread in the moon when starving—context changes everything. Vipassana is the last meditation, not the first. Active meditations (Dynamic, Kundalini) come first to release catharsis. Vipassana needs a prepared, silent being. Awareness and celebration alone can dissolve the darkest nights—celebration is the real meditation. Vipassana without heart is violence.
Nobody is missing anything
Nobody is missing anything. Jesus says 'Seek and you shall find'; I say seek and you will never find—the searching mind cannot be silent. 'Ask and it shall be given'; I say ask and you have missed—the asking mind is a beggar's mind. Existence belongs to emperors, not beggars. Twelve years of sannyas and still feeling you're missing—the search itself creates the missing. Nobody is missing anything. Drop the search and you've found it. Witnessing is not seeking—it's being.
Truth: beyond mind, beyond language
Truth: beyond mind, beyond language. The questioner belongs to Krishnamurti Foundation—Krishnamurti tried to prevent followers but created an organization anyway. My concept of God: there is no God, only godliness. God is a concept; godliness is a quality. God is a noun; godliness is a verb. Truth is beyond mind, beyond language—it can be experienced but not expressed. Krishnamurti was enlightened but remained a teacher, not a master—he couldn't create the fire. Truth is not a concept but a transformation.
